Honduran broadcaster voices support for Global South media partnership

Raúl Ramos Campos, General Manager of Honduras' Canal 7 Talanga Visión, has endorsed the newly launched Global South Media Partners Mechanism as vital for amplifying the voices of the Global South and advancing equity in global communication, while pledging to strengthen collaboration among Global South media outlets.

He was speaking in a video message for the Global South Media Partners Mechanism Inauguration Meeting and the 13th Global Video Media Forum (VMF), which will be held on November 6 in the ancient city of Xi'an in northwest China's Shaanxi Province under the theme "Building Consensus for Shared Benefits: Media’s Role in Global Governance."

The new mechanism aims to deepen collaboration among media outlets of the Global South, encouraging practical cooperation, content sharing, professional training and joint productions, as well as fostering dialogue and research among participating media partners.

The VMF is an annual professional journalism forum launched by the CCTV Video News Agency (CCTV+) in 2011, focusing on the latest video content communication and innovation trends and providing a highly specialized and interactive platform for domestic and foreign media peers.
