Jorge Luis Palenque, CEO and general director of Popular Radio and Television of Bolivia, has hailed the new Global South Media Partners Mechanism initiated by China Media Group as a key platform for fostering stronger ties among media outlets across Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Palenque was speaking in a video message for the Inaugural Meeting of the Global South Media Partners Mechanism and the 13th Global Video Media Forum (VMF), which will be held on November 6 in the ancient city of Xi'an in northwest China's Shaanxi Province under the theme "Building Consensus for Shared Benefits: Media's Role in Global Governance."

The Global South Media Partners Mechanism aims to deepen collaboration among media outlets of the Global South, encouraging practical cooperation, content sharing, professional training and joint productions, as well as fostering dialogue and research among participating media partners.

The VMF is an annual professional journalism forum launched by the CCTV Video News Agency (CCTV+) in 2011, focusing on the latest video content communication and innovation trends, and providing a highly specialized and interactive platform for domestic and foreign media peers.
