Bolivia's Ambassador to China Hugo Siles has voiced support for strengthening communication among countries of the Global South to ensure that the "genuine voice" of the Global South is heard in an increasingly complex world.

Siles was speaking in a video message for the Global South Media Partners Mechanism Inauguration Meeting and the 13th Global Video Media Forum (VMF), which will be held on November 6 in the ancient city of Xi'an in northwest China's Shaanxi Province under the theme "Building Consensus for Shared Benefits: Media's Role in Global Governance."

The ambassador also called for efforts to promote timely information exchanges between China and Latin America and expressed the interest of his country, Bolivia, in participating in the Global South Media Partners Mechanism, which aims to deepen collaboration among media outlets of the Global South, encouraging practical cooperation, content sharing, professional training and joint productions, as well as fostering dialogue and research among participating media partners.

The VMF is an annual professional journalism forum launched by the CCTV Video News Agency (CCTV+) in 2011, focusing on the latest video content communication and innovation trends, and providing a highly specialized and interactive platform for domestic and foreign media peers.
