Stefan Radeanu, editorial director of Romania's Curierul National and Secretary General of the General Union of Romanian Industrialists, has highlighted the growing strategic partnership between Romanian and Chinese media organizations.

Radeanu was speaking in a video message for the Global South Media Partners Mechanism Inauguration Meeting and the 13th Global Video Media Forum (VMF), which will be held on November 6 in the ancient city of Xi'an in northwest China's Shaanxi Province under the theme "Building Consensus for Shared Benefits: Media's Role in Global Governance."

In his video message, Radeanu warmly accepted the invitation to support the Global South Media Partners Mechanism, viewing it as both a meaningful challenge and a responsibility his organization takes with great commitment, especially given the platform's vital role in amplifying Global South voices.

The new mechanism aims to deepen collaboration among media outlets of the Global South, encouraging practical cooperation, content sharing, professional training and joint productions, as well as fostering dialogue and research among participating media partners.

The VMF is an annual professional journalism forum launched by the CCTV Video News Agency (CCTV+) in 2011, focusing on the latest video content communication and innovation trends, and providing a highly specialized and interactive platform for domestic and foreign media peers.
