Jamaica's Ambassador to China Arthur Williams called on media organizations around the world to get together, share their experiences and plan for the future as he expressed his good wishes for the 13th Global Video Media Forum (VMF).

The ambassador sent a congratulatory message to the forum, which will be held in the ancient city of Xi'an in northwest China's Shaanxi Province on November 6 under the theme "Building Consensus for Shared Benefits: Media's Role in Global Governance," and will also see the Global South Media Partners Mechanism Inauguration Meeting.

The new mechanism aims to deepen collaboration among media outlets of the Global South, encouraging practical cooperation, content sharing, professional training and joint productions, as well as fostering dialogue and research among participating media partners.

The VMF is an annual professional journalism forum launched by the CCTV Video News Agency (CCTV+) in 2011, focusing on the latest video content communication and innovation trends, and providing a highly specialized and interactive platform for domestic and foreign media peers.
